This lesson plan and activity explore modern examples of anti-Semitism and those who stood up for religious equality. This parallels the theme of religious freedom in the Hanukkah story. The student activity also focuses on Ometz Lev (courage) as seen in both the Maccabees and modern day heroes. This activity can be used as a whole class activity or as one of several self-guided stations.
