How do I download a lesson plan or project?
1. Click on the lesson plan/project you are interested in.
2. Click the green “Download” button ONE time.

Where can I find my downloaded lesson plan or project after I click “Download?”
Safari Web Browser: Your project will download into the “Downloads” folder.
Internet Explorer: After you click the “Download” button, a menu will pop-up asking whether you would like to “Open” or “Save” your project. Click “Save.” Your project will save in the “Downloads” folder on your computer.
Chrome: Your project will download to your computer and appear in a menu bar at the bottom of the browser window. The project will be saved in the “Downloads” folder on your computer.
Firefox: After you click the “Download” button, a menu will pop-up asking whether you would like to “Open” or “Save” your project. Click “Save.” A window will pop-up in the upper right corner of your browser window. Click on the file name to view the downloaded project. Your project is saved in the “Downloads” folder on your computer.
How many times can I download a project?
You may download a project as many times as you would like. Each time you click “Download,” the project will again save to your computer. Clicking “Download” more than once will result in multiple copies of the file being saved to your computer.
What format are downloaded lesson plans and projects?
All downloaded projects are in PDF file format.
What is the Idea Exchange?
The Jteach.org Idea Exchange is a searchable bank of lesson plans and curriculum ideas submitted by registered users of Jteach.org. Lessons that appear in the Idea Exchange have been previewed, but not created by the MJLC staff. Please do not submit works copyrighted by others or links to lesson plans contained on other websites. How do I share a lesson or project on the Idea Exchange?
Fill out the Share a Lesson or Project form as completely as possible. Look for your lesson to be posted after it has been reviewed by a JTeach staff member.
What is the JTeach Kehillah?
The JTeach Kehillah is a tiered membership program that provides access to additional materials on the JTeach site as well as additional benefits such as curriculum consultations and books of educational Jewish projects. How do I find out what types of materials are available to JTeach Kehillah members?
All of the materials available to Kehillah members only are marked with a key symbol throughout the site. To see the complete collection of materials available to Kehillah members, visit Kehillah Members’ Resources.
I teach at a Chicago-area synagogue. Do I have access to members-only material?
Depending on your school’s membership status, you may have access to members-only material. Please check with your principal or education director.
My principal or education director has said that my school has a membership. How do I access members-only material?
Go to Join Our Kehillah and select the “member” level. During checkout, choose the option for teaching at a Chicago-area member school. Once your teaching status is confirmed, you will become part of the Kehillah membership at no charge to you.
I teach at a synagogue outside of the Chicago-area. Can I access JTeach through my synagogue?
If your principal has subscribed to JTeach at either the “Sponsor” or the “Partner” level, you may be eligible to access members-only material. Please ask your principal about their level of membership. If your synagogue provides you with kehillah membership, go to Join Our Kehillah and select the “member” level. During checkout, choose the option for teaching at a Chicago-area member school. Once your teaching status is confirmed, you will become part of the Kehillah membership at no charge to you.
How will my information be used?
Your information will never be shared with a third party. You may be contacted via email regarding new materials posted to the JTeach website. If you wish to stop receiving emails from us, simply use the unsubscribe feature at the bottom of one of our emails.
How can I search for lessons/projects?
Type keywords into the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the page to search for lessons/projects. Keywords might include: topics, content areas, art materials, Jewish symbols, or ritual items.
Can I search by grade level?
JTeach is not searchable by grade level. Many of our lessons and projects are easily adaptable for a wide range of ages.
