The Art of Letters

image description

Throughout the ages, Hebrew letters have been used as design elements. They have been incorporated into geometric patterns with repetitive lines and they have been used to represent elements from nature such as stylized plants and leaves. Through art, students will review the Alef Bet and evaluate how Hebrew words and letters are meaningful in their own lives.

Download our lesson plan as well as a comprehensive bibliography of books showcasing the amazing Hebrew Alef Bet.

This activity is best suited for 2nd -7th grades. Some Hebrew letter recognition is needed.
