February is Jewish Disability Awareness Month. Cakes and Miracles: A Purim Story can be a wonderful (and seasonally appropriate) way to raise sensitivity and awareness in children. This teachers’ guide suggests ways to unpack this book with your class in order to use it as a springboard for a meaningful lesson on disability awareness.
