An Israeli Art Exploration: Piven, Gutman and Kakadu

image description

Invite students to explore the work of Israeli artists as a way of helping build connections to Israel. By creating their own artwork in the style of these artists, students will activate critical thinking skills and engage in creative expression while learning about Israeli culture, history and current challenges.

Download our guides to creating Kakadu-style challah boards, Gutman-inspired sculptures, and Piven-esque collages. All lessons include comprehensive background information on the artists and their place in the Israeli art universe.

This activity is best suited for all grades
